James Carberry & Michel Roux

James Carberry is a Lecturer in Culinary Arts at the School of Tourism and Food at the renowned Dublin Institute of Technology. James has been a member of the academic staff since January 2001 and provides training at certificate to degree level. He is delighted and privileged to be a part of the Roux Scholarship. Not only did he have the opportunity to travel to France to train with George Blanc to experience working in one of the best restaurants in the world, but he made international contacts with people from all over the world.

“Winning the Roux Scholarship in 1992 has opened so many doors for me and has given me a opportunity to meet many interesting catering professionals. It has provided a platform to network and develop relationships which has been a great benefit to me and the students of Dublin Institute of Technology.”
