Being a Roux Scholar has been a tremendous help in launching my own restaurant, especially from a marketing point of view due to the prestige that the competition holds. Once becoming a Roux Scholar you feel that you have joined a club, through which I have made many good friends. Everyone has heard of the Roux family name and it is one that I am very proud to be associated with.
