“It was a fantastic privilege to work with Michel on Saturday Kitchen. He was always my hero, and we were honoured when he subsequently asked us to get involved with the Roux Scholarship.””
Amanda Ross - CEO & founder
Cactus TV has been involved with the Roux Scholarship since 2010 having established themselves as the premier production company for cookery and food television shows in the UK. It was through their hit BBC TV series Saturday Kitchen that CEO and founder Amanda Ross first built a relationship with Michel Roux and the Roux family.
Initially staging and filming the competition finals, Cactus TV’s involvement in the Roux Scholarship has increased year on year. In 2012, Cactus made a landmark ten-part series with the Roux family for UKTV Good Food charting their incredible story as well as a one-off special on the Roux Scholarship competition. In 2013, the 30th year of the competition, a ten-part series focused solely on the Roux Scholarship for the UKTV premium entertainment channel Watch, along with seven masterclass episodes for Good Food.
Cactus TV are proud to be integral supporters of such a ground-breaking and hugely respected scheme as the Roux Scholarship and look forward to many further joint projects in the future.
