This year’s winner will embark on a memorable experience curated by Allan Reeder, beginning with an exclusive visit to Wyke Farm, nestled in the picturesque Somerset village of Wyke Champflower. Home to England’s most celebrated Cheddar, Wyke Farm has been crafting its award-winning cheese using a closely guarded family recipe passed down through four generations. The Scholar will also be treated to a VIP dining experience at the Michelin-starred Trinity Restaurant, led by chef Adam Byatt. The winner will have the opportunity to meet Adam and his exceptional brigade and hear first-hand about what goes on behind the scenes of this Michelin-starred and 3 AA Rosette kitchen.

The winner will receive an Aubrey Allen Dry Aged Beef and Artisan Cheese Box, and a place on the Irish Beef trip, as well as a week with Aubrey Allen learning hands-on butchery and cheese-making, including a cheese diary visit.

An invitation to London for a personal consultation at the Bragard showroom, where the winner will be outfitted head-to-toe with Bragard uniform of their choice whilst sipping on Champagne. After the fitting, the winner and their chosen special guest will enjoy a luxurious afternoon tea for two at the iconic Ritz Hotel in Piccadilly, ending with a private behind-the-scenes kitchen tour.

The Mentorship Award
The Mentorship Award is provided at the complete discretion of the Board of Directors and will typically be granted automatically at the end of the 15 month period.  However the Award will be reviewed if:
1. The conduct of the Roux Scholarship winner during the 15 month period  from the date of the final could damage the reputation of the Competition or the Employer.
2. The employment did not extend for the full 15 months but this was not the fault or responsibility of the Roux Scholarship winner.
3. The nature of the employment did not allow the Roux Scholarship winner to mentor the same single team for the entire duration of the 15 month period.
